I am currently a fifth-year Ph.D. student in the Agricultural and Applied Economics department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I specialize in development economics, with a focus on environmental and health economics, as well as the economics of education. I utilize existing data to investigate how extreme weather events impact health outcomes, and also examine potential drivers of such events. When it comes to the economics of education in developing countries, I am interested in evaluating the impact of nationwide policies on different sections of the population, especially rural or low-income households. I am on the job market for the 2026 – 2027 academic year.
I am a Zambia Evidence Lab (ZEL) fellow – an initiative by the Zambian Ministry of Finance and Planning and the International Growth Centre (IGC) Zambia to use existing administrative data to conduct analyses that can inform government policy and decisions. My work on flooding and health outcomes is supported and has received funding from the IGC.
In 2019, I graduated from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania with a B.A. with an honors major in Economics and an honors minor in French. Before graduate school, I worked as a Research Analyst at Compass Lexecon at their Chicago and London offices.
Outside of academia, I like reading fiction, running, taking walks in nature and parks, and going to live concerts and movies.
